“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wouds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24”
“He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.” Isaiah 53: 4-5
One of the things God wants us to believe is that it is in the will of God for you to be healed. God wants healthy believers and wants their souls to flourish. Third John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, even as your soul as well." One of the lies of the enemy has God's people to believe that healing is not their portion and God put sickness and disease on people to teach them a lesson because of disobedience. This is far from the truth.
Exodus 15:26 says, "If you diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I have afflicted the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you." The Lord wants you to understand that one of His benefits is that you are disease-free and sickness-free. He wants to renew our strength like an eagle so that we may soar above any demonic attack or spiritual assault sent to afflict us.
Psalm 103:2-5 says, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
We must emphatically know that not just your healing and health are so important to the Lord but the Bible declares that Jesus died on the cross for your healing as a price for you to be made totally whole. With every stripe, you were made whole. On the cross, Jesus was disfigured, beaten, wounded from His head to His toes, that you made be whole from your head to the toe as well.
Therefore, today there is no symptom, disease, sickness or infirmity in your body that is too big for the Lord Jesus to heal or cure.
The problems we often encounter:
High expectations in man to bring healing but not in God alone.
We must keep in mind that God wants to heal us Himself. In addition, we can command our healing by faith to believe His word and act on it by laying hands on ourselves. What a minister of God has access to, you have access to do as well by the authority of God given to you.
Faith over Fear
The Bible says, "without faith is impossible to please God" (Heb. 11:6b). So each time we permit fear to have access, we lock out faith. Faith releases the healing we are expecting. Healing is your birth right and inheritance; you are more than a conqueror; fear has no place in you. Faith defeats fear and unleashes the healing you or a loved one needs.
Many Christian believers today declare that they possess faith to be healed but then end up confessing negative, but we must confess God's Word. We don't command God to do anything. He is sovereign, but we confess and command by the authority God we are healed by His Word. Healing is at our command as our mind is renewed.
- A renewed mind does not accept and believe the lies of the enemy concerning healing.
- A renewed mind knows about the doctor's report but only confesses the Word of God.
- A renewed mind understands the severity of their present condition but also knows that the joy of the Lord is their strength.
- A renewed mind does not let fear cripple them but cripple sickness and disease by the power of their words, confession, and commands by faith.
Repent, Renounce and Rebuke
The enemy looks for cracks in our spiritual armour. Don't allow any open door that will cause sickness or disease to plague you. If there is sin in your life repent immediately. If there is unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness and more, renounce it and let it go. If you feel any symptoms, don't be alarmed, they are not your diagnosis. Just rebuke them in Jesus' name with the healing prescription of God's Word.
Self-Healing and Activating your Spiritual Authority
Simply make it a point to pray this with total faith, "In the name of Jesus, I arrest every demonic affliction and infirmities that are attacking my body" "I command every spirit of sickness, pain, disease to leave my body in Jesus' name." "My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; I command all the powers of darkness to leave me and my family in Jesus' name." Luke 10:19 says "Look, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you."
Activate Your Healing with Faith and Thankfulness
Activate your faith by doing something you couldn't do before and thank the Lord in advance for your healing breakthrough. This will be the point where the devil will fight you the most because he'll want to fill your heart with doubt, fear and unbelief in God's healing power and Word. But here's where you would need to anchor your faith in God. Meditate on God's word daily so that the doubts of the enemy do not consume you. Look for the healing and not the pain by walking by faith spiritually and not by what you see or even feel natural (read 2 Cor. 5:7).
"They overcame Him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death." - Revelation 12:11 The Bible tells us, that we overcame the enemy by the blood of Jesus & the word of our testimony. The Bible didn’t say by prayer or fasting, but it said TESTIMONY.
There is power in the words of your testimony. There is a healing power in your testimony when God heals you. Don't allow the enemy to keep your mouth shut. Expose Him with the truth of God's healing power demonstrated in your life. Jesus never said the evangelists, prophets, apostles or healing ministers only shall heal the sick. Jesus clearly said, "These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover" (Mark 16:17-18).
Luke 21: 12, says,’ but you shall be tested, tried and afflicted. But verse 13 says, it shall turn to your testimony.
KEEP TESTIFYING THE GOODNESS OF GOD
Testimony is not just, I buy a new car, I have a new job, new birth and many more. Of course, we can celebrate these achievements, but they are not TESTIMONY. EVEN UNBELIEVERS GET SUCH BLESSINGS FROM GOD.
But your testimony is what you say when you are in the midst of your challenges, like the 3 Hebrew children going into the furnace, like Daniel in the lion’s den, Job, Joseph, Paul and Silas, and many more.
Their testimony was not what they said after the challenges, rather, it was what they said while they were in that situation.
Words like, ‘I know my Redeemer lives’, ‘we know that our God would save us…’, even if He slays me yet will I trust Him’, what shall separate me from the love of Christ…….’, ‘greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world’,..
For those that feel like they are failures, or they are about to, they must testify. ‘I am more than a conqueror’. However, Christians should remember that the Bible says ‘you shall have whatever you say’. Not what you say, after your challenges, but rather what you say during your challenges.
Abraham was found faithful in the midst of His challenges and God called Him righteous while he had not yet received the promises of God (not after he had Isaac).
Many things people call testimony today are just testi-phonies, people trumpeting their own achievements, saying them with pride as if they have deserved the result of their own labour. No wonder soon after these, more challenges come back, and they claim it’s the pastor, it’s the church members or some witches & wizards.
But you must understand that anything that gives glory to you and not to God is only setting you up for more danger!!
